"You feel like you're miles from town, but you can get a Starbucks in 5 minutes! ~ Recent visitor from Austin, Texas"

Welcome to Five Points Lake Hamilton!!

Five Points features twelve cabins of various sizes, spread out across a wooded hillside that slopes down to the lake. The cabins are on the lake side of about 40 acres of woods, giving a definite feeling of being way out in the country, yet only a mile from Central Avenue/Highway 7, the main street through town. The individual cabins are forty to fifty feet apart from one another, assuring privacy. They are all rustic style, all wood construction, but with modern conveniences. Any "roughing it" here is definitely "roughing it smoothly!"

Our cabins are one, two, and three bedroom size, fully furnished, and all feature full kitchens. One of our trademarks is our breakfast "fixins" ~ we stock the refrigerator with eggs and bacon, English muffins, pastries, milk, and orange juice, and provide both regular and decaf coffee for the coffeemaker. Breakfast items and supplies are replenished day to day as you let us know you need them. Our "fiixins" have proven very popular, and previous visitors often comment how much they enjoyed that unusual feature.

In addition to the cabins, we have a large lakeside deck and gazebo, a lake swimming area, boat launching ramp, and free boat slips for our guests. Fishing, swimming, boating, and more water activities are just a short distance from your cabin. There's about a mile of quiet, little-traveled road on our property (a good place to walk or jog in the summer), and in cooler weather you can stroll through the woods or walk along the exposed lakebed when the lake is lowered in the winter (from early November until early March every year).

What Our Guests Say

It was awesome! Skip made it the best trip. My family loved it and we were very comfortable. great location, AMAZING cabins, and it was close to town, but away from everything so it was peaceful. Very cost friendly and they supplied the cabins with breakfast items and everything you need to be comfortable. I can't say enough about this place!!!!!! Thanks again Skip!!!!!

Jerry and I want to thank you for being so kind and thoughtful during our stay. We have enjoyed our time away from home. We have relaxed so much! Hope to return in the future!

Have been coming for years. Love it. Always in Hot Springs for the off-road park and these cabins have space for my truck and trailer. Owner is great. Staff is very nice. Location feels far enough away to be in the sticks but is three minutes from our needs. Overall 5 stars! We love coming to stay at Skip's cabins.

Loved this place! We will most certainly see you again!

Thank you, Skip! We enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!

Skip, the owner, is a really nice and informative guy. The cabins were nice and comfortable. The location was perfect! Gazebo was a great place to have lunch, visit with family, and be close to the swimming area. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Skip really made this a destination to remember!! Beautiful cabin. Lots of wildlife. Quiet! Breakfast in the fridge every morning. Yum!! Couldn't ask for a better place to spend my birthday ???? Already making plans to return!! Thanks for everything, Five Points!!!!

Clean and comfortable cabins, the people were real nice and accommodating. The breakfast fixings were a definite plus. We will come back.

This place is nothing less than Magical!! The Lake Hamilton Cabins at Five Points, was hands down the most unexpected, BEST FIND through our most recent travels!! Skip Houston is the Owner/Operator of this hidden gem, and we are convinced that he has truly never met a stranger... [We saw] ducks, deer, squirrels, and geese, but most of all, an indescribable tranquility. But, you've got a Walmart 90 seconds away, can be at Starbucks in 2 minutes, a gigantic Kroger just 4 minutes South, and a DunkinDonuts 6 minutes North!

We know many of you don't consider it a real family vacation unless you can bring your four-legged family members along with you. We do welcome pets at Five Points; however, there are a couple of small restrictions, and there's a charge of $10 per night per pet. We do ask that pets be crated whenever they're left unattended in the cabin (a little issue of "separation anxiety" that can set in when they're left by themselves in a strange setting, and that can result in behavior that would never occur at home or in a more familiar setting). For their own protection, pets need to be kept on a leash when they're outside. And it should go without saying that all pets need to be social with other dogs, people, and children. Having said all that, we've had everything from the tiniest Chihuahuas to the largest Great Danes and Mastiffs stay in our cabins, and most everybody gets along fine. Of course, in addition to the pet charge, pet owners are responsible for any damage done by their pets.

Incidentally, dogs are welcome in Hot Springs National Park, as long as they're on a leash. And they're welcome at Garvan Woodland Gardens, also on a leash, of course. However, Garvan does charge for pets ~ the same as a children's ticket.

Our entire place is rather secluded ~ we're on the lake side of about 40 acres of woods, almost half a mile down a private road. Many people in Hot Springs don't even realize we're out here, and we like that just fine! The individual cabins are about 40-50 apart from one another, so you can see several other cabins from any given cabin, but you won't feel crowded in by your neighbors, as in a hotel or motel.

We stock the refrigerator before your arrival with things for breakfast, including eggs and bacon, English muffins, cinnamon rolls, orange juice and milk. In addition, we provide both regular and decaf coffee for the coffeemaker. As you need items replenished from day to day, just let us know and we'll be glad to provide them, so you'll have them the next morning.
